Key features:

Thorough, double blind peer review

The review process is efficient using a double-blind peer review model:

  • Submissions are prescreened by one of the Co-Editors-in-Chief for suitability for peer review.

  • The peer review is double blind to minimize bias.

  • The reviewers' identities will remain confidential throughout the peer review process.

  • The Handling Editor's identity will remain confidential throughout the peer review process.

  • With the consent of the reviewer, the reviewer has the opportunity to reveal their name and/or review report upon article publication.

  • The review template ensures that the review reports are comprehensive and objective.

  • The handling editors are scientists working in research and make the peer review decisions based on 2, or when appropriate 3, reviews by experts in the field of the manuscript.
